The Department of Sociology was
established in the year 1980. It conducts P.G. Courses in Sociology,
Social work, Social Anthropology. M.Phil. and Ph.D. Under these courses
are conducted in sociology. P.G. courses in sociology include areas like
Women Studies, Political Sociology, Rural Sociology. Apart from it
research facilities are provided to the scholars.

Pluralism and Nation, Dissertation.
Four papers are to be selected. Out of these Dissertation will be offered
by only those students who have got more then 60% marks in the first two
semesters.
M.A. SOCIAL WORK (SELF FINANCE)

Eligibility Graduation in any discipline with IInd Division
Course fee Rs. 10,000/- per annum.
There is written entrance test for M.A. Social Work, followed by
personal interview.
